SHAH ALAM (Sin Chew Daily) — Sin Chew Education Awards 2018 was launched on June 22 at Setia City Convention Centre.
Launching the event, Media Chinese International Limited (MCIL) Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Tiong Kiew Chiong said education is one of the key areas to propel the nation forward and Sin Chew Media Corporation is prepared to play its role to promote educational excellence in the country.
He said the newly launched Education Awards has been one such initiative in hope of helping Malaysia’s education sector attain a higher level of excellence.
Tiong pointed out that the Chinese community of Malaysia has always put a lot of emphasis on education, and as a leading newspaper that serves the Chinese community,
Sin Chew Daily has been very insistent in making positive contribution towards the Chinese education of this country.
“Today, we are still loyal to our commitment towards education. And we have gone a step further now by introducing the Sin Chew Education Awards 2018.”
He said the Sin Chew Education Awards covers a very broad spectrum of the education sector, from tertiary institutions to professional training centers, special needs training centers, international schools, early childhood education providers/franchisors, language centers, education support service providers as well as special interest groups and individual education leaders.
He hoped that organizations and individuals involved in the education industry will be able to compete globally.
Nomination for Sin Chew Education Awards 2018 closes on September 15 and the winners will be announced in November, with the award presentation ceremony to be held next January.
