Anti-hopping law still needs fine-tuning, says Wan Junaidi

KUALA LUMPUR: Anti-hopping bill needs further fine-tuning after the proposed law was discussed in Wednesday’s weekly cabinet meeting.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the cabinet raised two issues and the proposed bill would be reverted to the parliamentary select committee for further discussions.

These issues will be brought up for further discussions during the select committee meeting in July.

Wan Junaidi did not elaborate further.

He has said he hoped to be able to table the proposed bill in Dewan Rakyat in July with controversial clauses removed, so that it could be gazetted next January.
