KOTA KINABALU: Led by Sabah Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, the Umno state assemblymen plotting to take out the incumbent chief minister have been removed from the state cabinet.
In a special state assembly sitting today, the seats of incumbent deputy chief minister cum works minister Bung Moktar, incumbent tourism, culture and environment minister Jafry Ariffin, and incumbent science, technology and innovation minister Yakub Khan, have been moved to the opposition side.
It is believed that chief minister Datuk Hajiji Noor has only removed these people from the state cabinet and has not appointed any new state ministers to take their places.
Hajiji is expected to reshuffle his cabinet within days.
State assemblymen from Parti Warisan, BN and PKDM were absent from this morning’s sitting.
