PETALING JAYA, Jan 9 (Sin Chew Daily) — Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (Putra) vice president Mohd Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz said it was a victory for him to get SMK Pusat Bandar Puchong 1 to take down CNY decorations and for so many cabinet ministers present at the school to put up the lanterns on the following day, just because of one letter from him, adding that his name was mentioned for a total of 15 times in the cabinet meeting.

He admitted that he felt the school was going overboard by hanging the red lanterns, and that was his personal feeling.

He said even if he is not a parent of any school student there, he would still raise the issue.

Summoned because of a tweet on cemetery

Mohd Khairul told the media after giving his statement at MCMC headquarters this morning that he thought he was summoned because of the lanterns at SMK Pusat Bandar Puchong 1, but later realised it was because of a tweet on Chinese cemetery he posted on New Year day.

In the tweet, he said Chinese graves take up too much space and should be controlled.

He also said a Chinese grave can easily hold ten remains of people from other races.

He even criticised the Chinese for infringing other people's rights while alive or dead.
