Sabah cancels PSS
KOTA KINABALU, Jan 22 (Sin Chew Daily)– Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal announced that thestate cabinet had decided in today's meeting to cancel the SabahTemporary Pass (PSS) project.
He said the state government was awareof the concerns of the public and had made the decision not to goahead with PSS.
He also said the state government wouldbrief the home ministry of its decision.
In the just concluded Kimanisparliamentary by-election, Barisan Nasional's Datuk Mohamad Alamindefeated Parti Warisan Sabah candidate Datuk Karim Bujang with anexpanded margin of 2,029 majority votes, partly because of the PSSissue.
