PETALING JAYA, Feb 21 (Sin Chew Daily) — Three Pakatan Harapan parties — PKR, DAP and Amanah — have reached a consensus on the power transition issue.

According to the "handover package", a PH leader told Sin Chew Daily, PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will join the cabinet soon or around May and be appointed deputy prime minister to take the place of his wife Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, if Mahathir agrees to step down before end of the year.

However, Mahathir must announce a specific handover date to stabilize the PH coalition and the country's political situation.

The three parties have also agreed that a PPBM leader be appointed deputy prime minister if Anwar becomes the prime minister.

"The presidential council meeting tonight will talk about this package."
