Sin Chew Business excellence Awards to praise outstanding performance

KUALA LUMPUR – The CIMB Bank has become the exclusive sponsor of Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards organised by Sin Chew Daily and MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd to praise corporates with outstanding performances.

CIMB Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of Consumer Banking Renzo Christopher Viegas recently paid a visit to the headquarters of Sin Chew Daily to hand over the sponsorship cheque.

The Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is positioned as one of the most trusted and prestigious business awards program in Malaysia with emphasis on strategic management approaches. The Awards serves as the highest accolades for SMEs which have achieved utmost excellence in all key business management disciplines which form the strategic parts of organizational growth and sustainability.

The Awards is reckoned as an authentic testimony and recognition of the SMEs’ business excellence and distinction in ever changing environment for even greater success locally as well globally. It enables more SMEs to learn from the success stories and revenue models of the winning SMEs, and to benchmark themselves against the best in their pursuit of further excellence. During the cheque handover ceremony, Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards committee chairperson Lenny Chiah praised the CIMB Bank for attaching importance to corporate social responsibility. Chiah also felt honoured for working with the country's def bank.

She said that the CIMB Bank has not forgotten to pay close attention to and financially support social culture and business developments. It is consistent with the Sin Chew Media Group's continuous concern for human development.

Chiah said that the Awards' primary target audience is SMEs by nomination followed by secondary audience in the non-SMEs corporate sector by invitation.

"All successful corporates which have started from SMEs and went through hardships are welcomed to participate," she said.
