PENANG — The Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards briefing, taxation and financing seminar held in Penang saw the overwhelming attendance of over a hundred representatives from various businesses who showed strong interest in Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards.

With the theme "Innovation, Transformation and Sustainability," Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is organised for the first time ever to show appreciation for the contributions by small and medium-sized companies in the country while serving to encourage them to participate in the process of nation-building.

The seminar was anchored by Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards working committee chairman Lenny Cheah who gave a round-up of the the various categories of awards as well as rules and regulations and the evaluation process, among other things. Lenny is the general manager for sales and marketing, MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd.

Grant Thornton Malaysia's auditing and certification partner and senior executive director also delivered their talks on corporate financing and taxation respectively.

The seminar was held in conjunction with the inaugural Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards organised jointly by Sin Chew Daily and MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd (owner and operator of Sinchew.com.my), with Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce as the main supporting partner.

The seminar was held at Universiti Wawasan. Similar talks were also held in Perak, Johor and Melaka.
