JOHOR BAHRU (Sin Chew Daily) — Following the resounding success of the inaugural Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards last year, Sin Chew Daily and MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd have kicked start the second edition of the awards this year to honor outstanding small and medium sized enterprises in the country.

A handover ceremony for the nomination papers was held in Sin Chew Daily's Johor Bahru office this morning.

This event is sponsored by CIMB Bank while the supporting partners are the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Hua Zong), the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Small Medium Industry Association of Malaysia (SMIAM), Malaysian Retailer-Chains Association (MRCA), Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM), Branding Association of Malaysia, the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG), Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malaysia and JCI Kuala Lumpur Mandarin (JCIKLM). Grant Thornton Malaysia is the auditor of this event.

Witnessing the handover ceremony, Grant Thornton partner Desmond Tan said Grant Thornton would send auditors to the nominated companies for on-site auditing and inspection after the nomination deadline, and would submit the report to the panel of judges for evaluation purposes.
