Business Awards boosting participants’ brand exposure

PETALING JAYA (Sin Chew Daily) — The 2015 Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards has received tremendous response from the corporate sector with companies beginning to hand in their nomination forms.

Representatives from these companies such as Orando Holdings Sdn Bhd, LBS Logistics, Shah Alam Tyres & Auto Accessories Sdn Bhd, The Barbecue Plaza (M) Sdn Bhd and Supercool Creative Culture Sdn Bhd, visited Sin Chew Daily headquarters in Petaling Jaya to hand in their forms to Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards working committee chairman Lenny Chiah.

Cheah has urged "century-old brands" and Chinese family businesses to also take part actively in this event.

Closing date for the nomination for 2015 Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is on June 15.

The awards is jointly organized by Sin Chew Daily and MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd. CIMB Bank is the exclusive sponsor of this event.

Among the supporting partners are Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Hua Zong), the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Small Medium Industry Association of Malaysia (SMIAM), Malaysian Retailer-Chains Association (MRCA), Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM), Branding Association of Malaysia and the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG).

Grant Thornton Malaysia is the event auditor while other partners include Skynet, Fine Paper Takeo Sdn Bhd and One City.

Theme for this year's event is: Innovation, Transformation and Sustainability. The awards targets SMEs in the country with the objective of encouraging them to take part in the country's development.

LBS Logistics' Datuk Law Ban Seng said, "Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is a very wonderful event and this is the first time we take part in this event. We hope this will help boost our exposure. Our core business is logistics services for China and Malaysia and we hope this event will allow more Chinese businesses to know our company. If possible, we will still register for this event next year."

Orando Holdings Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Dr. Eng Wei Chun said, "Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards is a high-quality and reputable industrial event with Grant Thornton Malaysia as its auditor and many acclaimed associations in the panel of judges.

This event will allow participating companies to understand the requirements for an excellent business, and thus help bring them to another pinnacle in their development.
