PETALING JAYA, Mar 23 (Sin Chew Daily) — Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah confirmed that another COVID-19 death had been recorded, taking the total toll to 11.

Noor Hisham said the case involved a 70-year-old man (Case 1,070) who had the history of chronic illness and had visited Indonesia in February this year.

The man was sent to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM on March 18 after presenting symptoms for a week.

"He tested positive on March 19 and was treated with ventilator at the ICU.

"He died at 21:05 on March 22."
