Muhyiddin: Free masks for people in need

PUTRAJAYA, Mar 23 (Sin Chew Daily) — Prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said once the face masks have arrived in Malaysia, the government will distribute them freely to people in need.

He pointed out that the national security council had discussed the issue of face mask shortage, and he had instructed the domestic trade and consumer affairs minister to negotiate the prices with manufacturers to ensure prices are not too high and most importantly supply is adequate.

The prime minister also announced that EPF members below the age of 55 can now withdraw up to RM500 a month from their Account 2 for up to 12 months.
