KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 1 (Sin Chew Daily) — The cabinet has decided that beginning April 3, all Malaysian citizens returning to the country from overseas will be quarantined at three-star hotels for 14 days.
A cabinet source told Sin Chew Daily, the government will bear the accommodation expenses of all returning Malaysians quarantined at the hotels.
"All Malaysians returning to the country, including those travelling by land or sea from Singapore and Thailand, will be quarantined.
"The government is ready to quarantine these people, and we are now looking for three-star hotels near the airport as quarantine centres."
Several hundred Malaysians are expected to return to the country on a daily basis during the movement control order.
