Warning for Tian Chua over disciplinary lapse

PETALING JAYA, June 25 (Sin Chew Daily) – PKR's disciplinary board has decided not to sack vice president Tian Chua but will instead issue a warning letter to him for openly asking party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to apologize to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

A party leader told Sin Chew Daily PKR's supreme council meeting this coming Sunday will discuss whether to accept the disciplinary board's proposal to issue a warning letter to Chua.

The leader said the supreme council could accept or reject the proposal.

"The political bureau has been informed of the disciplinary board's proposal, but the supreme council will have the final say.

"If he (Tian Chua) commits an offense again, there will be no second warning for him. Normally we will see his records and how serious the offense is before deciding the punishment."

Meanwhile, Chua has also drawn the ire of the party for accepting the offer to become chairman of Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) which is under the international trade and industry ministry.
