PUTRAJAYA, Aug 27 (Sin Chew Daily) – Five new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including two imported cases.

All the three locally transmitted cases were from Melaka.

To date there are a cumulative total of 9,296 confirmed cases and 8,994 recoveries (including 16 discharged today) at 96.75% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 177 active cases, including eight at ICUs, six requiring ventilators.
