PETALING JAYA, Aug 27 (Sin Chew Daily) – A source from Perikatan Nasional told Sin Chew Daily the next general election would very likely be held before November.

"Something big is going to happen after Merdeka, probably next week. Just wait and see!"

In the meantime, the Malaysian Indian Congress has denied that the party is going to join Perikatan Nasional.

MIC vice president Datuk T. Murugiah strongly denied today that his party would join the coalition.

Meanwhile, an MCA source has also confirmed with Sin Chew Daily that MCA will not join PN.

When contacted by Sin Chew Daily, communication and multimedia minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said that from what he knew, there would be an unofficial launch of PN on August 29.
