KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 (Sin Chew Daily) – Umno will hold a special supreme council meeting tonight to discuss and decide on the nomination of party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as deputy prime minister candidate.

A party source told Sin Chew Daily Umno supreme council will meet at 20:00 tonight at Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

"We are told last minute this is an emergency meeting.

"We only have one agenda, to nominate party president as DPM."

The source also said this is going to be an ultimatum for prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. If Muhyiddin rejects, Umno may consider alternative plans.
