PUTRAJAYA, Nov 9 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 972 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Sabah reported the highest number of new cases (370), followed by Negeri Sembilan (260), Selangor (138), Labuan (63), Perak (51) and Penang (34).

To date there are a cumulative total of 41,181 confirmed cases and 29,579 recoveries (including a record 1,345 discharged today) at 71.8% recovery rate.

Eight new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 294.

There are currently 11,308 active cases, including 86 at ICUs, 31 requiring ventilators.
