PDAM: No need to scan MySejahtera when filling up the tank

PETALING JAYA, Nov 10 (Sin Chew Daily) — Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia president Datuk Khairul Annuar Abdul Aziz insists that only customers entering the convenience shop at a petrol station needs to scan MySejahtera app.

When contacted by Sin Chew Daily, Khairul said every industry would have to comply with the directives issued by the National Security Council when drawing up the SOPs, and the directives then received by PDAM stated very clearly that only those entering the shop need to scan MySejahtera.

"You can see that scanning MySejahtera is not necessary for the many vending machines out there, or at drive-thru windows of fast food restaurants. Only customers entering the restaurants need to scan.

"But if the government wants us to change, we will cooperate, but the government must first ensure the safety of using a handphone at the pump because the use of handphone is strictly prohibited at the pump."
