PUTRAJAYA, Nov 24 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record 2,188 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, all locally transmitted.

Selangor reported the highest number of new cases at 1,623, including 1,511 from the Teratai cluster. This was followed by Sabah (232), Perak (112), Kuala Lumpur (90) and Negeri Sembilan (73).

To date there are a cumulative total of 58,847 confirmed cases and 44,153 recoveries (including 1,673 discharged today) at 75.0% recovery rate.

Four new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 341.

There are currently 14,353 active cases, including 112 at ICUs, 49 requiring ventilators.
