PETALING JAYA, Feb 25 (Sin Chew Daily) – People from different families can ride in the same car provided there is a valid reason for doing so.

When contacted by Sin Chew Daily, the national security council (MKN) hotline personnel said even if the addresses as per MyKad of passengers inside a vehicle are different, they could still ride together but must produce a valid reason for this

"The SOP doesn't specify that all passengers inside a vehicle must come from the same family, but if their reason of traveling together is questionable, such as taking a friend to go for exercise or any unimportant matter, it would not be permitted.

"There won't be problem if they go out together for work, but must produce their respective company letters as proof.

"In MCO areas, one must have important matters to attend to if they go out."
