PUTRAJAYA, Apr 8 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,285 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 17 imported cases.

Selangor reported 374 new cases, followed by Sarawak (211), Penang (162), Kuala Lumpur (120), Sabah (106) and Johor (101).

To date there are a cumulative total of 355,753 confirmed cases and 340,242 recoveries (including 1,175 discharged today) at 95.64% recovery rate.

Four new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,308.

There are currently 14,203 active cases, including 186 at ICUs, 81 requiring ventilators.
