PUTRAJAYA, Apr 9 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,854 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 20 imported cases.

Sarawak reported 555 new cases, followed by Selangor (403), Penang (176), Kelantan (143), Sabah (139), Kuala Lumpur (135) and Johor (103).

To date there are a cumulative total of 357,607 confirmed cases and 341,489 recoveries (including 1,247 discharged today) at 95.49% recovery rate.

Five new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,313.

There are currently 14,805 active cases, including 169 at ICUs, 79 requiring ventilators.
