Walk-in vaccination

PETALING JAYA, May 10 (Sin Chew Daily) — Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) president Prof Dato' Dr Subramaniam Muniandy said members of the public can try their luck for walk-in vaccination if people with prior appointment for vaccination do not turn up.

He told Sin Chew Daily a bottle of vaccine can be used for six persons, and once opened, the vaccine can only be stored for one to two days.

As such, he said people who have the time and need to get vaccinated fast can try their luck by visiting the nearest vaccination center such as stadium or civic hall etc., but not the government hospital.

"Just fill in a form and specify whether you have diabetes, high blood pressure or allergy, and also medical treatment you are now undergoing."

He also said the whole vaccination process could take less than an hour.
