PUTRAJAYA, June 18 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 6,440 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including five imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,095 new cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan (870), Kuala Lumpur (816), Johor (592), Sarawak (536), Perak (357), Melaka (223), Kelantan (200), Sabah (199), Kedah (159), Labuan (152) and Penang (122).

To date there are a cumulative total of 685,204 confirmed cases and 615,326 recoveries (including 6,861 discharged today) at 89.80% recovery rate.

74 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 4,276.

There are currently 65,602 active cases, including 894 at ICUs, 451 requiring ventilators.
