PUTRAJAYA, June 20 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 5,293 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,680 new cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan (693), Sarawak (661), Johor (627), Kuala Lumpur (379), Perak (205), Melaka (183), Kedah (170), Kelantan (167), Sabah (163), Labuan (156) and Penang (114).

To date there are a cumulative total of 696,408 confirmed cases and 628,185 recoveries (including 5,941 discharged today) at 90.20% recovery rate.

60 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 4,408.

There are currently 63,815 active cases, including 880 at ICUs, 454 requiring ventilators.
