PUTRAJAYA, July 12 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 8,574 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 40 imported cases.

Selangor reported 4,308 new cases, followed by Negeri Sembilan (794), Kuala Lumpur (609), Kedah (415), Melaka (411), Johor (407), Pahang (314), Sabah (298), Sarawak (235), Penang (231), Perak (168), Terengganu (140) and Kelantan (133).

To date there are a cumulative total of 844.870 confirmed cases and 747,338 recoveries (including 5,041 discharged today) at 88.46% recovery rate.

102 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 6,260.

There are currently 91,272 active cases, including 964 at ICUs, 452 requiring ventilators.
