PUTRAJAYA, July 13 (Sin Chew Daily) – A record 11,079 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 27 imported cases.

Selangor reported 5,263 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,521), Negeri Sembilan (1,033), Kedah (497), Sarawak (472), Johor (406), Perak (329), Melaka (323), Pahang (321), Sabah (239), Penang (234) and Kelantan (211).

To date there are a cumulative total of 855,949 confirmed cases and 753,328 recoveries (including 5,990 discharged today) at 88.01% recovery rate.

125 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 6,385.

There are currently 96,236 active cases, including 972 at ICUs, 456 requiring ventilators.
