PUTRAJAYA, July 21 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 11,985 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

Selangor reported 5,550 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,174), Kedah (800), Negeri Sembilan (745), Johor (644), Pahang (603), Sabah (474), Melaka (453), Kelantan (386), Penang (362), Perak (274), Sarawak (261) and Terengganu (171).

To date there are a cumulative total of 951,884 confirmed cases and 806,857 recoveries (including 7,902 discharged today) at 84.77% recovery rate.

Record 199 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 7,440.

There are currently 137,587 active cases, including 927 at ICUs, 459 requiring ventilators.
