PUTRAJAYA, July 22 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 13,034 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 25 imported cases.

Selangor reported 6,049 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,611), Johor (791), Negeri Sembilan (711), Kedah (701), Sarawak (644), Sabah (497), Terengganu (391), Penang (371), Melaka (353), Perak (284), Pahang (261), Kelantan (240) and Putrajaya (100).

To date there are a cumulative total of 964,918 confirmed cases and 815,293 recoveries (including 8,436 discharged today) at 84.49% recovery rate.

134 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 7,574.

There are currently 142,051 active cases, including 938 at ICUs, 459 requiring ventilators.
