PUTRAJAYA, July 26 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 14,516 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.

Selangor reported 6,508 new cases, followed by Johor (1,449), Kuala Lumpur (1,425), Kedah (1,160), Sabah (720), Perak (590), Negeri Sembilan (452), Penang (402), Pahang (386), Melaka (373), Sarawak (356), Kelantan (346) and Terengganu (245).

To date there are a cumulative total of 1,027,954 confirmed cases and 853,913 recoveries (including 9,372 discharged today) at 83.07% recovery rate.

Record 207 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 8,201.

There are currently 165,840 active cases, including 1,009 at ICUs, 524 requiring ventilators.
