PENANG (Sin Chew Daily) — The Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2018 nationwide roadshow was recently held at Hotel Jen in Penang.

The roadshow offered interested companies a glimpse into ways of taking part in the contest as well as a range of latest banking services from CIMB Bank, the exclusive sponsor of this event.

MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd general manager for sales and marketing cum Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2018 organizing committee chairperson Ms Lenny Chiah said companies that had been passed down for generations were encouraged to join the contest in order to inspire other companies in sustaining their operations.

She said many of the winners of past events had come from Penang, including Teck Aun Pills, ViTrox, Kepala Batas Bihun, Ivory Properties, JP Asia Capital, Loh Guan Lye Specialist Center, Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul and Ghee Hiang.

In the meantime, Grant Thornton Malaysia senior partner Desmond Tan explained the evaluation criteria of the contest while sharing some of the successful factors and instances in corporate management, financial strength, customer satisfaction and loyalty, among others.

Representative from CIMB Bank, meanwhile, explained the many corporate deposit products offered by the bank.

The theme for the Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2018 is “Innovation, Transformation, Sustainability, Leadership”, with small- and medium-sized enterprises and former SMEs that have successfully transformed themselves into exceptional enterprises being the primary target groups.

Sin Chew Daily and Sinchew.com.my under MCIL Multimedia Sdn Bhd will continue to be the joint organizers of this annual award event. CIMB Bank is the exclusive sponsor.
