Dr Mahathir celebrates 100th birthday

PETALING JAYA: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s supporters celebrate his 100th birthday early. A supporter identified as Muhd Fazli posted on Facebook that Dr Mahathir celebrated his birthday in advance in a restaurant in Ampang Jaya on July 6. A short video showed a cake was placed in front of him and many were singing birthday song. In another photo, Dr Mahathir was surprised by a birthday cake presented to him. The post on Facebook also mentioned that people in the 80s and 90s thanked the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia for his contribution to the nation. “Malaysia was peaceful, prosperous and developing fast then, thanks to this man,” it said. Also the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir will be having a live telecast on July 10, inviting members of the public to join him for the birthday celebration through social media.
